Located in the Garneau Community, Kaffa Roaster & Studio is a coffee roaster, bar, and host to locally-driven events. Kaffa holds a unique view of historic Garneau, the North Saskatchewan River Valley, and downtown. This truly unique space is quickly becoming home to many of our City's musicians, artists, and artisans to our upstairs hideaway in the Heart-of-Garneau.
Originally the building was home to one of the first Safeway Stores in what was then the Town of Strathcona. Once the demolition of the interior was underway it quickly became apparent that the original attributes of the space had been hidden behind generations of renovation and modification. Uncovering the original brick work and amazing wooden trusses was a pleasant surprise and gives the space its base character. The design speaks to the history and richness of a bygone era through the use of wholesome materials and finishes complimented with beautiful period furnishings throughout. Come grab a espresso and enjoy.
